Protecting Your Energy is a Power Move

Let’s talk about energy...the kind that doesn’t just power your day, but fuels your spirit.

Protecting your energy isn’t just about saying “no” to the wrong things. It’s about intentionally saying “yes” to the right ones. The people. The experiences. The thoughts you allow to take up space in that beautiful mind of yours.

It took me a while to realize that not everyone deserves a front-row seat in my life. That might sound harsh, but it’s not about judgment, it’s about discernment. I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that being thoughtful about who I let into my world is one of the most powerful forms of self-respect. Your energy is sacred. Treat it like the limited, luminous resource it is.

There’s beauty all around you, if you choose to look for it. In a moment of quiet. In the curve of your own resilience. In the story your life is telling, even when it feels messy or unfinished. We spend so much time searching for meaning “out there” when, sometimes, the most powerful shift occurs when we look inward with compassion and curiosity.

And here’s the truth: you can’t fully access that beauty if your energy is being drained by people or situations that don’t align with who you are or who you’re becoming. That’s where boundaries come in—not walls, but clear, kind invitations for others to meet you where you are… or kindly step aside.

Authenticity matters. So does protecting the version of you that’s still blooming. You’re not too much, and you’re not too little. You are exactly enough. And when you honor your energy by being thoughtful with your time, honest about your needs, and open to the beauty within and around you, you begin to live the WildHER Way.

You don’t have to explain your light to those committed to misunderstanding it. Just keep shining.
