Resetting with Grace
I packed my summer like a suitcase that's about to burst, overflowing with high hopes, bright plans, and bold aspirations. The lineup looked dreamy: tending to my business and podcast, nurturing my family, investing in myself, and even taking a class at the community college for good measure. I imagined I could keep every burner on high, not realizing the toll until the sizzle started to fade.
Somewhere between speaking engagements, work meetings, watering the garden, and dinner prep, and the never-ending responsibilities of adulting, I found myself running on empty. I was doing all the things, but it felt like I was constantly moving, checking things off the list without the presence or energy each truly deserved. I was rushing through, not fully in it. The more I juggled, the more disconnected I felt from my own rhythm.
So I've decided to do something revolutionary: pause.
Not forever, just long enough to reset. To breathe. To remember that grace isn't something we give just to others, it's a gift we owe ourselves, especially when we've over-committed.
Resetting doesn't mean we've failed. It means we've listened. It means we've taken stock of what matters and made the brave choice to shift course. For me, that looks like choosing not to take another class this fall, even though I had planned to. It means recognizing that my full-time job, which I enjoy immensely, still requires a lot of me, while also running Integrare Collaborative and hosting the podcast. Add to that launching my son into his junior year of college and preparing my daughter for her senior year. It's clear: this moment is calling me to focus on what truly matters—my health, my family, and the balance that sustains it all.
For me, that means going back to basics. Rising early, when the house is quiet and possibility still lingers. Moving my body with purpose, following the workout plan I know fuels me. Tracking what I nourish myself with in MyFitness Pal. Getting real with my time using my Next 90 Days planner like the boss I am. And, just as importantly, carving out space to rest.
We don't have to do it all to be worthy.
There is wisdom in recognizing when we've strayed too far from our own center. There is power in the pause. When we reconnect with ourselves, we reclaim the energy, clarity, and creativity that drew us to our passions in the first place.
This season, I'm choosing intention over overload. Grace over hustle. Alignment over perfection. And I invite you to do the same.
You don't need permission to slow down. But if you've been waiting for a sign, let this be it.
Reset, refocus, and rise…the WildHER way.
